Ganesha is widely revered among Thai artists for being the patron deity. The myths have it that Ganesha came into his divine being after being resurrected and having his head replaced with that of a mighty elephant's. Somphong Sueudom's juxtaposition of skull imagery with Ganesha's is a humble homage and a beautifully sculpted talisman for success.
